I have the honour to apply for your instructions

en the following points hish arise in connet tion with

the registration of ritish suìjects and detected per-

sons under the new system in force since the 1st instant,

The Order in Council of 192 omits the pro-

visions in sticle 162 Paragraph (1)(a) and (b) of the

Order in Countil of 1904 that the registration of a nan

domprises the registration of his wife and of all females

and minor, being his relatives, living with him.

Is a separate fee of $3 to be charged for a wife

and for each miner or femala rekutive ?

24 Where married women and children are pot in-

oluded on their husband'a or parent's passnert, way their

registration be enrsed thereon

3. Special difficulties suggest themselves in

the case of British subjects and protected persons of

Chinese Tao 8. In Oases there they are already in posses-

sion of passports, telatter are usually Colonially is-
